Ashok: is there any way we can see the physical port/hardware components through SRM ?
  Ashok: because of there are 2 ports ( 2/9 & 12/9)
Ashok: if you give % then we will get only one which is matching
matthew salvatore: yes. this question came up to us in our group when we were showing this report at Citi
  matthew salvatore: ok
matthew salvatore: yes. it does. also, on these same columns, if we go into edit mode, the formulas will be there? that may help explain to people
  matthew salvatore: ok, great.
  Paul: All>>Dashboards>>Storage>>Chargeback by Group
matthew salvatore: ok. sounds good. i bet i'll need to do the copy/paste trick to get the formulas in our environment.
Ashok: what is the use for Link and where it's applicable ?
  Ashok: YES,
  Samir Hasan: lol
matthew salvatore: can you include more than one value for the circles
on a statue report?
  matthew salvatore: ok.
matthew salvatore: our team has an 11am EST meeting. most of us will have to attend that
matthew salvatore: it should only be 30 minutes most likely
matthew salvatore: joe, tom, rob and ernie and i are part of that
matthew salvatore: ok, that sounds good
Tom: I have a generic question.. we can export a report template or format .. but can we import it back ?
  Tom: ok thanks
matthew salvatore: we are still in our meeting, but should be done shortly. sorry about the delya
  matthew salvatore: delay
Paul: np. Matt. Thanks for letting me know!
matthew salvatore: ok, we're off now. again, i apologize for the delay, and ot Samir, Utham, Raja and Ashok
  Samir Hasan: np
matthew salvatore: also Paul, one thing i was hoping you can talk about later after our modules are complete.
matthew salvatore: can you go over importing data from DB/external source? for example, we have a ticketing software that incorporates data for all our IT infrastructure (aliases, line of business, business owner, etc) that we can't get from the objects (vmax, cisco switch, etc) themselves. can you discuss some of the process for how to integrate that software into SRM? it's sort of off topic from report creation, except for that fact that it will help data enrichment to incorporate to the reports we create.
  matthew salvatore: ok, great. Thanks.
matthew salvatore: we're looking into this type of report for VMAX FA Performance based on IOPS and/or BandWidth
Ashok: can i generate the similar report like how much storage allocated, used per FA or Array ?
Ashok: can we edit this kind of topology map report?
Ashok: i just wanted a topology diagrams between Array and the host as i dont want to show the switch or FA info
  Samir Hasan: yes
Samir Hasan: are parts of Prosphere incorporated in SRM
  Samir Hasan: ?
Ashok: what will happens if HBA or Switch Gbic failure in these kind of diagrams?
  Samir Hasan: i see
Samir Hasan: ashok has a good qs
  Samir Hasan: got it
Tom: this is the same graphic api used by porosphere
  Tom: a demo please?
Paul: 1) Save the template as a file.
2) Create a report pack
3) Import the template file
4) Savew the report pack as a file (.arp)
  Tom: a demo please ?
Tom: I will be mosltly copying those and modifying them as needed. ;)
Ashok: can i add those under my reports ?
Raja: do you need administrator privileges to create a report pack?

Ashok: can you please repeat once again
Tom: can we do it under my reports?
Ashok: it will be nice if its created under my reports..
Tom: yes then we can edit them as needed and reuse..very useful since a day has only 24 hrs. ;)
